Over the past month, Bullish has led performance among crypto equity names, alongside Bitgo and Circle, all three increasingly trading as value plays anchored in institutional infrastructure and TradFi integration, a key driver for the group.

Bullish's $4.2 billion acquisition of Equiniti (closing by January 2027) is central to this thesis. Equiniti just launched a real-time analytics feature for UK issuers, making it the first UK share registrar to give companies immediate visibility into ownership changes as they happen. Bullish's strategic target is to build Equiniti into a global regulated transfer agent for tokenized securities, with the product roadmap focused on integrating blockchain-based recordkeeping with traditional CSDs, DTCC, Euroclear, and Clearstream.

Two additional catalysts support the growth case: Equiniti is rolling out its newly combined PR/IR offering (via the Notified acquisition), which opens revenue-synergy potential across its roster of public company clients; and its early role running the LSE's private market auction infrastructure positions it well as capital markets increasingly adopt private-equity-style liquidity mechanisms.

Equiniti's equity tokenization pilot with Bullish is already live, not theoretical. Bullish's own shares ($BLSH) now trade with tokenized share capabilities on Solana, with Equiniti serving as the SEC-registered transfer agent, making Bullish the first NYSE-listed company to bring its equity cap table fully on-chain.

Equiniti administers the entire process: its official share registry syncs directly with smart contracts on Solana, and shareholders manage tokenized withdrawals through Equiniti's Shareholder Central portal. The tokens enable 24/7 peer-to-peer transfers between whitelisted wallets, plus round-the-clock trading and settlement against USD stablecoins on the Bullish Exchange.

This pilot is the operational template for rolling tokenized share management out to Equiniti's broader base of nearly 3,000 corporate issuer clients, infrastructure that could streamline on-chain equity adoption across traditional public companies while bridging digital-asset liquidity with institutional CSDs (DTCC, Euroclear, Clearstream).

The economics matter too: rather than flat per-trade retail commissions, Equiniti charges issuers a fee to act as registered transfer agent and manage on-chain share administration, effectively annual SaaS/servicing fees rather than transaction-based ones. That shifts transfer agency toward a high-margin technology model and aligns with Bullish's projected 20% revenue growth from tokenization services.
